In Gorakhpur district, under the Belghat police station, one child died and another was injured due to electric shock from a light pole in the village of Baeli Khurd. The condition of the injured child is said to be serious.
The village head, Arun Kumar Shukla, said that due to the negligence of the electricity department, Prakash Nishad, 12 years old, son of Prahlad, died.
Sachin Nishad, son of Siddhu Nishad, was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at the medical college in Gorakhpur.
